Easter Like No Other - How To Celebrate Easter During Lockdown

Posted by on

We're all spending Easter in lockdown this weekend, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. I've come up with four fun things that you could do this Easter in the safety of your own homes.

1. Join A Very Special Egg Hunt

It's safe to say that an outdoors easter egg hunt is off the cards, that's why we've created a virtual one of our own. Browse around the Holy Grail website to find Easter eggs with surprise offers that you can redeem from our online shop. Happy hunting!

2. Bake A Cake

Russian Honey Cake Recipe

The highlight of many people’s Easter weekend is the big Sunday lunch and you don’t have to miss out just because you can’t leave your home. Everyone loves cake and what better to reason to bake one than Easter?

My lovely friend Alla is an amazing chef who makes a living by teaching people how to make beautiful cakes and pastries. I've asked her for her most popular cake recipe and she sent me a tutorial on how to make a Russian honey cake called Medovik, which also happens to be my favourite cake of all time!

"Russian cake?!", I hear you say? Now is the time to try out new things, I promise you wont regret it! Click here for Medovik recipe.

3. Get Crafty

Get Crafty

Get crafty, either on your own or with your kids. Did you know that colouring induces the same state as meditating? It has the ability to relax the fear centre of your brain, relieving stress and promoting mindfullness, relaxation and quietness. You can download free colouring pages from Crayola here.

4. Have A Netflix Party

Watch a movie together - thanks to a cool new app called "Netflix Party" you can now watch movies together from afar. Pick your favourite movie, have the honey cake at the ready and enjoy a virtual Netflix party with your family and friends.
